I offer responsive, experienced birth and postnatal doula support, covering Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Derby and parts of Leicestershire, providing a hand to hold, a shoulder to cry on, a tonne of evidence based information, and true continuity of care through pregnancy, birth and your fourth trimester.
If you're looking to approach your labour feeling calm, confident and well supported - doula support might be a fantastic option. As a certified birth nerd I have experience supporting births at home, hospital, VBAC's, HBAC's, inductions and caesareans and I've learnt so much from each and every wonderful family I have been lucky enough to support.

Derbyshire Home Birth story
I had the pleasure of supporting Ruby's fast and furious home birth in Derbyshire at the start of the year, alongside the community midwives who support home births (unfortunately Derbyshire don't have a dedicated home birth team.)
I met Ruby in her first pregnancy where she attended my pregnancy yoga classes and after her first birth unfolding in a classic cascade of intervention where she felt disempowered, she decided to invest in doula support and do things differently second time around. The result was an intense but incredibly healing home birth, leaning over an armchair in her living room. You can read her amazing story here.

This takes place in Beeston, which is easily accessible from both Nottingham and Derbyshire.

I also travel into the southern Peak District and Derbyshire Dales, including Ambergate, Crich, Wirksworth and Matlock, depending on your location.
