PREGNANCY YOGA
Twelve Moons Pregnancy Yoga is a lovely way to support your body through the changes of pregnancy, while preparing emotionally and physically for birth and new parenthood, AND making some great new friends while you are at it. We have two wonderful Pregnancy Yoga teachers who can support and guide you through your classes.
MEET THE TEACHERS

Victoria Louise Pregnancy & Postnatal Yoga Teacher
Victoria Louise is a dedicated yoga teacher passionate about empowering women at every stage of womanhood through yoga movement, mindfulness, and compassionate care. With a strong foundation in pre and postnatal yoga and pelvic health, Victoria creates nurturing space where every individual feels seen and supported. This individualised care, delivered within a group setting, is at the heart of her approach. She leads our Beeston group at the lovely Manor Arts.

Leonie Luff
Pregnancy Yoga Teacher and Forest School leader
Leonie is a Pregnancy & Kids Yoga Teacher as well as a Mum of three and wonderful Forest School leader. She discovered yoga as the birth of second baby - after having heaps of pelvic problems from her difficult first birth. She started doing beginners yoga to help connect with her body and heal from her births. She loved it so much she wanted to share this with other women, so trained to teach pre and postnatal yoga and in doing this learned how different her previous births could have been if she had this amazing wisdom!
When she was expecting her third baby she practised every day and also invested in hypnobirthing and armed with a deep understanding of my body a the birth process, experienced a deeply healing VBAC, drawing on on her yoga practice throughout.
"Yoga has been one of the greatest gifts of my life and I love sharing it with others, knowing how healing and empowering it can be for us as mothers."

Leonie teaches Wednesday evenings, 7.30pm in Wollaton. She also runs Little Wild Play Club in Wollaton and offers amazing forest school sessions and Kids Yoga!
What can you expect from Twelve Moons Pregnancy Yoga?
PHYSICAL BENEFITS
Twelve Moons Pregnancy yoga has been designed to gently strengthen and stretch the body in order to soothe common pregnancy aches and pains like pelvic girdle pain and back ache. Our classes are designed to soothe common pregnancy aches and pains, like Pelvic Girdle Pain and Sciatica, as well as prepare and balance the pelvis for the rest of pregnancy, birth and beyond.
There is no need to have taken any yoga classes before, beginners are very welcome and will be guided through everything, with modifications where necessary.

EMOTIONAL SUPPORT
Twelve Moons Pregnancy Yoga provides a safe and judgement free space to share both the good, and not so good sides of pregnancy. We start each class with a short meditation and breathing exercise, and end each class in a ten minute relaxation. These mindfulness and relaxation tools are an essential part of your pregnancy and birth wellness toolkit, as they are amazing for calming the nervous system, and keeping the stress response system at bay. Pregnancy can be a stressful time and taking this time for yourself, every week to relax and unwind can massively improve your mental wellbeing as a whole.
A SUPPORT NETWORK
Each Pregnancy Yoga class begins with an informal sharing circle, where we go round and talk about how we are getting on that week. There is absolutely no pressure to share if you don't want to, but you are always welcome to offload or vent about the challenges of pregnancy in a safe and judgement free space.
For each block of classes, there is a group Whatsapp, in which you can share and chat more, or organise meet ups within the group. Many great friendships have been made in Twelve Moons Yoga classes, and my aim is to create local communities of likeminded parents who can support each other through the sometimes rough road of becoming a parent.

BIRTH EDUCATION
For those who are interested, there will be a Free Hypnobirthing Session with Twelve Moons Founder Amy, in each block.
You will come away with some great tangible birth tips as well as some more information on Hypnobirthing and how it can help you to have a confident and powerful birth experience.

Twelve Moons Pregnancy Yoga is suitable from 14 weeks, right up until birth and there is no previous yoga experience required. If you have any questions please get in touch. Currently we have classes in Beeston at Manor Arts on a Monday evening at 6.30pm and Wednesday evenings 7.30pm in Wollaton at Kingswood Community centre.
POSTNATAL YOGA & RECOVERY

Twelve Moons Postnatal Yoga & Recovery is the perfect way to ease yourself back into gentle movement, and build a wonderful postpartum support network.

This gentle, welcoming class is designed specifically for postnatal recovery from 6 weeks postpartum (8 weeks after a cesarean, with medical clearance). It's a space to reconnect with your body, support your recovery, and take time for yourself, while still keeping your baby close. The focus is on rebuilding core strength, improving posture, easing tension (especially in the neck, shoulders, and back), and supporting emotional wellbeing through breath, movement, and guided relaxation. Babies are welcome from newborn up to pre-crawling.
While this is not a baby-focused class, we fully embrace their presence. Whether your baby is feeding, sleeping, or snuggled beside you, they are part of the experience. No need to worry if they cry or need a cuddle, this is a supportive space where both you and your baby are welcome.
Book to join our lovely community of local parents, and claim some time just for you!
